I am a professed longtime Ottolenghi fan (his autographed menu from a trip to London in 2009 hangs in my kitchen!); Israeli cuisine is one of the Mediterranean’s delicious highlights. And thanks to its long history, the city of Jerusalem stands out on its own, as Jerusalem is a colorful mosaic of religions, peoples, cultures & foods. Although Israel is a very new country, Jerusalem’s history dates back thousands of years, and we can still see its panoply of inheritances present in the influences from one kitchen to another.
My encounter with my dear friend Inbal, an Israeli food photographer and my partner on this tour, allowed me to create this exciting tour, which we can’t wait to share with you!
Throughout our 5-day Jerusalem tour we will guide you to some of our favorite spots, highlighting the lens of food & culture. Recent Israeli history tends to mark differences among people, but food is always a unifying force: everybody eats, all the time, and very well!
