Join chef Camila Loew of Sobremesa for our first cooking camp! Camila has been teaching after-school cooking classes for 8+ years. Now she is taking it a step further and allowing the children to spend an entire week cooking new cultures!

Each day of the week we will meet at 9am and start the day with an introduction to the cuisine/culture of the day (Mediterranean, Japanese, Moroccan, and others). We will spend the morning in the kitchen, and then pack up our lunch and head to the park for a picnic and outdoor play time (weather permitting).

In the afternoon, it's back to the kitchen again to cook up an afternoon snack. Children will assemble their own little cookbook with international recipes, which they can use to help contribute to the holiday season to come!

As a holistic chef and nutrition consultant, Camila cares deeply about quality food. Our focus is on seasonal and organic ingredients, with an emphasis on vegetable-forward recipes. Please let us know if your child has any dietary restrictions; we will do our best to accommodate if possible.

We envision this to be a fun-filled, delicious week, in which we will have time to cook, savor, and play, as well as learn about different cultures through their cuisines. We will also explore some of the scientific processes that occur when we transform our food as we cook.

Limited to 10 spots.
2 chef instructors and 1 CIT.
