Our second pop up event at Far Leaves in Berkeley!
Summer is in full swing and what more refreshing and nutritious than a variety of colorful, tasty cold soups. Everyone knows Spain’s famous gazpacho, and there are as many versions of it as their are chefs who make it.
Catalan cuisine has received much attention from the media in recent years, due to the groundbreaking work of famous chefs and restaurants such as Ferran Adria of El Bulli, Carme Ruscalleda, or El Celler de Can Roca. But Catalan food culture has a long traditional history. In this hands-on workshop we will prepare Catalan recipes with local, seasonal ingredients. We are fortunate that our California bounty is quite similar to the Mediterranean fare, allowing us to recreate these delicious food traditions.

On Thursday May 22, I will be teaching for the first time at Berkeley's Kitchen on Fire. Excited! It is right in the Gourmet Ghetto, next to Chez Panisse!
